Exhibition of the Scientific Artworks of Ilhan Koman:

Venue: Hulda Boat, Marina do Parque das Nações, Passeio do Neptuno, Parque das Nações, Lisbon.

Art and Science Youth Workshops:

Venue: Pavilhão do Conhecimento, Parque das Nações, Lisbon.

• “Optical illusions: how does our brain trick us?”
• “3D perception: making 3D glasses and 3D drawing”.
• “Leonardo’s window”: a mathematics workshop about perspective where anyone can reproduce objects using three different methods. Visitors will be invited to recognize the perspective in famous paintings.
• “Pavements and friezes": children will be invited to make pavements and friezes inspired by pictures of Portuguese sidewalks and tiles.
• “Staircase”: construction of a fractal using sheets of paper.
• “Paintings colored like marble”: using water and plastic paint, visitors will make beautiful paintings and learn about insoluble materials.
• “Collective work”: visitors will be invited to make an artistic work that will be built during the stay of Hulda in Lisbon. The final work will be exhibited at Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Ciência Viva.

Activities are designed for all ages. Workshops will be held between 10-12 AM and 3-7 PM Monday through Thursday, and Sunday; and between 3-10 PM Friday and Saturday.
