Plato Sanat (Plato Art Space)
Plato Art Space opened its doors to audience with contemporary art and design exhibitions, performances and events in April 2010. It is located in Plato College of Higher Education Campus in Balat and is a non-profit art institution. Plato Art Space is not only a 1000m2 space with a capacity to host many national and international events but also remarkable as a restoration project.
With its location beyond the peripheries of the customary art and culture axis and its spatial qualities and scope of activities, Plato Art Space aims to assume an alternative and innovative role in the art and design world. While supporting design-based exhibitions, Plato Art Space also plans to hold parallel events exploring the interconnections between art and design.
