Rolling LadyMade of 4 conic pieces of material fitted into each other, the
Rolling Lady’s most impressive property is that although she has such a curvy shape, she rolls in a straight line when gently pushed, as the sum of the distance from the midline is always constant for the two edge points touching the floor at the same moment. These contact points draw two parallel oscillating wave lines if one traces their path on the floor.
